Now, what I didn't know at the time was that MaxieC has a new book about airplanes, and in it there is a drawing a of a man, under whom is written "pilot", and another man, under whom is written "co-pilot", and standing in between them is a hot blonde in one of those 70's-era stewardess outfits that stewardesses wore before American women all lost their senses of humor, under whom is written, "flight attendant."
The book is from 1989, when it was originally written and published in France. It seems the translator got the politically correct "flight attendant" label correct, but could not change the artwork.

oh so it's from some old outdated book.
Understandable.
When we've flown of late, I've found at least half the stewardesses are men.
maybe you could re-write the book?
:)

On our last flight (with 756 connections), The JohnnyB and I discovered that 99% of the flight attendants were women and gay men. Not quite sure why.
MaxieC is very perceptive. He'll make a fine chauvinist when he grows up.
I love gay men- they way they swish and talk and call themselves bitches..........
:-)
Haven't had the pleasure to witness that.
And you go to art school? Are you sure?
In the Bay Area?!!!!
